DPSSL

Diode-Pumped Solid-State Lasers

Work at Acreo related to DPSSL has been focused on two interlacing areas, miniaturization and DPSSL in the visible spectral range.

Together with partners, Acreo has developed a versatile advanced technology platform for miniaturized DPSSL. The original approach based on a microstructured silicon carrier with etched V-grooves has been continuously advanced to new materials providing specific new features and application possibilities and to compact array lasers.

In visible DPSSL, emphasis has been on quasi-three-level lasers and frequency conversion into the blue spectral range. We performed comprehensive modeling and experimental work enabling us to obtain record laser performance on selected lines.

The work in both areas has been performed in close cooperation with the Laser Physics Group (Prof. Fredrik Laurell) at the Royal Institute of Technology.

Acreo offers R&D services in the field of diode-pumped solid-state lasers.
