Our competence in digital signal processing (DSP) and ASIC design covers radio signal processing for the emerging wireless standards and the design of building blocks as FFT, Digital Up/Down Conversion and Digital I/Q filtering. Digital signal processing (DSP) can also be used to correct for non-idealities and lack of performance in the analog domain, which enables the design of highly integrated transceivers in relatively inexpensive semiconductor technologies. Examples of such signal processing investigated by us are power amplifier predistortion, quadrature imbalance correction and dynamic DC-offset cancellation.
The increased performance of DSP also enables more complex digital baseband signal processing and therefore enables both higher bandwidths and multi-mode (flexible) radios.
