Workshop on Silicon Carbide Power Electronics for Automotive and Traction Applications (2009)
The technical advances in silicon carbide technology open opportunities for the development of high-performance power electronics at competitive cost. This will be essential to meet the demands on compact low-loss power drives for the future electric vehicle and other applications.
March 31, 2009. No less than 120 participants filled the room, wanting to be updated on and discuss the latest developments in the field of silicon carbide power electronics and potential applications. Presentations were given by several internationally recognized experts with special focus on components, modules and system issues.
